Pur Ti miro is a theatrical concert dedicated to the ‘pictorial work of Michelangelo Merisi known as Caravaggio (1571-1610) and the music of Claudio Monteverdi (1567-1643) .

The project is the result of a meeting between the Teatri 35 company, a point of excellence in the creation of Tableaux Vivants (literally living pictures) theatrical actions, and the musical ensemble La Venexiana, internationally accredited among the greatest interpreters of the Italian late Renaissance and Baroque vocal and instrumental music repertoire.

A selection of Caravaggesque pictorial masterpieces, reinterpreted as gesture and theatrical action, enters into direct dialogue with Monteverdian musical pieces performed live merging into a unique performance built on a precise visual and sound dramaturgical canvas of high communicative impact.

The content proposed as the subject of the performance combined with an original expressiveness and an effective interpretation that is unique and innovative, enhances the distinctive feature of “Italian creativity,” universally recognized as capable of dialoguing with the sensitivity of the people of our time.
